Llandybie crime concern is downplayed
9:00am Monday 6th February 2012
DRUGS and anti-social behaviour top Llandybie community councillors’ chief concerns.
They were responding to a request fromthe Dyfed-Powys Police Authority to prioritise issues of law and order.
Loud music played by young motorists, boy racers and teenage bullying were other areas of concern.
Cllr Llinos Evans said worries over anti-social behaviour were constantly aired at Pact meetings.
But county councillor Peter Cooper suggested crime – and concerns about crime – were lower than in other areas.
“We are very lucky in that we don’t get many serious crimes in our patch,” he told colleagues.
“The drugs figures are low compared with other areas.
“People complain about A m m a n f o r d police station but officers are there 24 hours a day. ”
