7 offences of driving while disqualified for Gwendraeth man

1:00pm Saturday 4th February 2012

A GWENDRAETH Valley man may face jail after pleading guilty to driving while disqualified for a seventh time.

Gary Lee Davies, 32, of 8 Craig y Llety, Tumble, was stopped by police while driving a Seat Ibiza along Iscoed Road in Hendy on New Year’s Eve. He was stopped again four days later driving the same car along Craig y Llety.

At Llanelli Magistrates Court Davies admitted both offences. Prosecutor Ellie Morgan said that Davies had five previous convictions for driving while disqualified and was jailed following his fourth. Magistrates adjourned sentencing for the completion of probation reports, but warned Davies that all options, including jail, remained open.

He will be sentenced on February 17.
