Reminder of Jubilee street party deadline

THE special events team at Neath Port Talbot Council are calling on all residents who are planning a street party for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee to contact them.
Residentsmay need to apply for a road closure which means a registration formneeds to be completed.
The team are also giving out advice sheets so that clear guidelines can be followed and the event runs smoothly.
The forms need to be returned promptly, no later than April 27 so highwayofficerscanpreparetraffic orders. The forms will also be referred to the Neath Port Talbot Safety Advisory group who inform theemergencyservices.Thespecial events team will also contact the local councillor.
Special events officer, Kerry Jones, said, “I urgeanyone organising a street party to get in touch with the team.
“There are procedures to follow and tight deadlines to keep.”
